Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar at 70: Kwamkur Samuel Foundation Hails Icon of Peace and National Unity

Date:

Marking a significant national moment, the Kwamkur Samuel Foundation for Justice, Peace & Development (KSF) has celebrated the 70th birthday of His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto and President‑General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA)

In a statement issued on Monday, August 24, 2026, and signed by Evang. Dr. Kwamkur Samuel Vondip, PhD, President of KSF and member of the Nigeria Inter‑Religious Council (NIREC), the Foundation described the Sultan as “a national stabilizer whose life reflects God’s grace, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to justice and human dignity.”

KSF highlighted the Sultan’s distinguished service in the Nigerian military and his decades of spiritual leadership, noting that he has consistently risen above religious and ethnic divides to promote unity. His role as Co‑Chairman of NIREC was praised for strengthening collaboration between Christians and Muslims, especially during periods of national tension.

The Foundation emphasized that his humility, calm interventions, and compassion for the vulnerable have made him a moral compass for leaders across Nigeria.

Quoting Psalm 90:12 — “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” — the Foundation thanked God for blessing the Sultan with the wisdom of peace and the grace of longevity.

KSF prayed for continued divine protection, robust health, and renewed strength for His Eminence, expressing hope that he will enjoy many more years on the throne guiding Nigeria toward unity, tolerance, and brotherhood.

“Happy 70th Birthday, His Eminence!”
